Vegan cashew cheese sauce

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs of raw organic cashews

Water

Freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)

Nutritional yeast

Garlic powder

Turmeric powder

Cayenne pepper

Old bay seasoning

Himalayan salt

I made Mac and cheese with this cashew cheese sauce and I loved the way it turned out. I hope you love it too!

Eating Raw. Day 3

I was not feeling completely full for the past couple of days. I kept craving a Beyond Meat burger and vegan Mac and cheese. It drove me nuts…

Extremely late breakfast

Smoothie- pineapple, strawberries, banana, coconut almond milk, chia seeds, and MCT oil

**I skipped lunch due to my late start of the day

Dinner

Vegan Mac and cheese, Beyond Meat burger patty, broccoli and spinach.

**I drank water all throughout the day

**For the past couple of days I made my transition to vegan from being a vegetarian for almost 4 years (June 9th would make 4 years). I feel ready for this journey and I cannot wait to try out new recipes.

Breakfast

Smoothie- strawberries, banana, spinach, coconut almond milk, MCT oil, and chia seeds

Snack

An apple with almond butter (this is my go to healthy snack).

Lunch

Sliced cucumbers with a drizzle of vegan Italian dressing

Dinner

I mashed chickpeas and seasoned it well

I drank some herbal tea and relaxed the night away

Eating Raw. Day 1

Yesterday I decided to start eating raw for the week as a form of detox to reset my body. The weeks to come I’ll try my best to eat clean and ultimately be vegan.

Breakfast

Smoothie – 1 banana, a bunch of strawberries, a handful of spinach, frozen blueberries, almond milk, and chia seeds.

Lunch

Apples with almond butter

**I made sure to drink water throughout the day as well.

Dinner

A huge salad- tons of spinach, cucumber, tomato, avocado, a red bell pepper and a drizzle of vegan Italian dressing; just for the vinegary flavor to give it a slight kick. After my food digested, I juiced some carrot juice to drink.

Before bed

I drank some herbal tea to relax my body

Natural products that I love to use on my skin

My skin (especially my face) is sensitive so I aim to use products that are natural and have a mild scent/unscented. Another important thing to me is cruelty-free products. Alba Botanica acnedote face & body scrub is my favorite facial scrub of all time! It gently exfoliates your face and body without stripping away all of its moisture. It makes your skin look and feel refreshed. The smell reminds me of tea, it is a pleasant earthy smell. When you first squeeze the product out it may look alarming because of the color since it is a deep brownish-greenish color but no worries because it feels good and works! I use it 3 times a week. My face feels nice, smooth, and rejuvenated. This is my self-care staple product. I thank my aunt for telling me about this product because it does not disappoint.

Alaffia – EveryDay Coconut – Hydrating Body Wash, Purely Coconut, 32 Ounces (FFP)
Everyday Coconut body wash is my favorite body wash thus far. I love how gentle it is and it thoroughly cleans my body making me feel fresh. This product only has 6 ingredients full of vitamins and minerals and coconut water that hydrates your skin. It is all natural which is my favorite along with the fact that I love all things coconut! Plus it is 32 ounces with a pump!

Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap – Baby Unscented 32oz.
Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap is awesome because it is multipurpose product. You can use it as a body wash, shampoo, hand soap, laundry detergent, homemade household cleaner and the list goes on. This particular one is baby mild unscented I love how gentle it is. One of the best things about this product is the fact that it has very minimal ingredients, it can be a base for plenty DIYs, and the overall versatility of it. There are different size options but I get the 32oz because it lasts for months.

Radha Beauty Rose Water Toner – USDA Organic 100% Pure Moroccan Rosewater
Radha Organics Rose Water is one of my favorite toners! I love this one in particular because it is organic and has only 1 ingredient, organic rose water!  It soothes my skin and makes it feel refreshed and moisturized. I love using it everyday: it is a great pick me up in the morning and makes you feel ready for bed at night.

Alaffia – EveryDay Shea – Pure Fair Trade Shea Butter, Unscented, 11 Ounces
I have a special love for Raw Unrefined Organic African Shea Butter. It has tons of benefits for the skin. Shea Butter protects the skin from damage, including UV rays. It regenerates and repairs the skin, it is anti-inflammatory, and helps with minor cuts and burn healing. The list goes on. This is why I just love this stuff!

Radha Beauty USDA Certified Organic 100% Pure Oil – 4 oz. (Rosehip)
I love Radha Rosehip Oil for my face, hair, and entire body. It is a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. It reduces blemishes and premature aging. I love the fact that it is lightweight and still extremely moisturizing. It makes my skin feel and look so good.

What we have here is a lightly toasted whole wheat bagel with half an avocado, pink Himalayan salt, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and tomatoes on top.

I didn’t measure any ingredients all I did was sprinkle it on.

This is a great anytime meal, especially when ‘life happens’ and you are in a rush. It will keep you full and bursting with energy! Give it a try and let me know if you like it.
